Branch Surgery opens at Norden Old Library

Edenfield Road and Ashworth Street practices branch surgery opens at Old Library Monday 2nd August 2010. The Trustees of Norden Community Trust are delighted to announce that,pursuant to their charitable objects, to provide facilities for the welfare of all Villagers,a doctors surgery will open on the first floor of the Old Library on Monday 2nd August 2010.The opening of this facility represents an important addition to amenities for Villagers of all age groups.

Completion of this enterprise represents a milestone in partnership working;not only have the practices and the PCT worked closely with Norden Community Trust in the conversion of part of the Building to a modern well appointed medical facility ,but the project represents a milestone in partnership working between key partners in both local practices.

Doctors Rhodes, Ansari , Doyle and Osborne, aided by a full support staff, headed by Sue Ingham and Pauline Mayor aim to provide the people of Norden with a complete range of medical services in a most convenient location.

With the first floor open, the next phase of our project is to complete the refurbishment of the ground floor rooms. Refurbishment is in an advanced state, a new heating system has been installed and the first stage of electrical wiring has been completed, but there is still a lot to do.
